Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, your tour guide will come and get you from your Kampala or Entebbe lodging. After there, you’ll go via Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the west. You will travel through the Ugandan countryside, which is home to numerous small towns, villages, roadside markets, and verdant areas, throughout the approximately eight-hour journey.

You will go to Queen Elizabeth National Park after stopping for lunch in Fort Portal town. The magnificent backdrop of the mysterious Rwenzori mountain ranges will be followed on this final drive. Arriving at Queen Elizabeth in time for an evening game drive will allow you to see a variety of wildlife, including buffalo, hippos, and elephants. After that, you will wind down from the excitement of the day by checking in at the lodge.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel.

You will embark on an early morning wildlife safari game drive in this park following breakfast. A staggering variety of animals may be found in Queen Elizabeth National Park’s varied habitat, which includes grassy plains, tropical woods, rivers, swamps, lakes, and volcanic craters. You will have fantastic chances to observe lions, leopards, gigantic forest pigs, cape buffaloes, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kobs, Topi, and bushbuck, all against the stunning backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains.

You will have a two to three hour boat ride after lunch, crossing the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. You will go through what may be the greatest concentration of hippos on this five-day safari vacation in Uganda. It’s possible to spot a lot of animals drinking near the lake. There are excellent chances for wildlife viewing, bird watching, and photography on this launch cruise. With over 600 species, the vast and diverse avian life is breath-taking.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will be taken from Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park following breakfast. The trip takes six hours and passes through the Kigezi Highlands, sometimes referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” You travel to the Bwindi bush on the five-day Uganda Safari Holiday over meandering roads and terraced hills. You are going to make a lunch stopover at Kabale.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience.

Get ready to meet the gentle giants of the wild, the mountain gorillas. The majority of guests consider this to be the high point of their five-day safari vacation in Uganda. To look for mountain gorillas, you will enter the forest in groups of no more than eight. Your guide will point out gorilla tracking remnants along the way, like chewed bamboo shoots, nests, and excrement. Trekking through bamboo, bushes, and intertwined vines will be a thrilling adventure across forested slopes. You will be guided back to the starting location after spending no more than an hour with the gorillas after you have located them.

Day 5: Return to Kampala – Departure

Your tour guide will take you from Bwindi to Kampala by car after an early breakfast. It will take you almost nine hours to go from the lower, undulating terrain of Ankole and Buganda, with big fields and plantations interspersed with communities and small towns, to the colder, alpine heights of the Kigezi Highlands. Along the route, there will be multiple stops, including Kayabwe’s equator crossing for photo ops. Your guide may be able to add a few more stopovers, depending on the timing of your next flight. You should arrive in Kampala early in the evening, giving yourself adequate time to change before your departure from Uganda.
