The 9 Days Safari in Uganda is designed to show you the best national parks in the country, such as the breath-taking Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be able to take part in activities like game drives in the Murchison and Queen Elizabeth National Parks, gorilla trekking in the Bwindi woods, chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge, and rhino tracking at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
You will be received by our company representative upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport who will brief you on the 9 day tour and transfer you to a hotel already booked for you where you will dine and spend the night.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Drive north to the well-known Murchison Falls National Park after breakfast, stopping along the way for lunch in Masindi and to see the rare rhinos that are housed in the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Arrive later at the 3,840 square kilometre Murchison Falls National Park, which is also Uganda’s largest well-protected wildlife region. To appreciate the natural splendour of the Falls, climb to their summit.
Here, the Nile River’s wonders come to life as the water rushes through a small ravine that is only 7 metres wide, plunging below with a loud roar and creating a spectacular rainbow of water spray! Eat and sleep.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Ride to the Falls
After a filling and excellent breakfast, head to the northern region, which is home to a variety of Savannah wildlife. Along with a wide variety of bird species, this wildlife drive provides excellent chances to picture elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, hippos, and, if you’re lucky, even leopards.
After lunch, take a two-hour boat ride to the base of the Murchison Falls, where a massive roar is produced by water gushing out of a narrow valley. You will observe a variety of aquatic birds as well as large creatures like crocodiles and hippos on your boat ride. Return to the lodge, enjoy dinner, and retire for the night.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a hearty breakfast, head southwest through Fortportal and the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley to reach Queen Elizabeth National Park from Murchison Falls National Park. Stop for lunch at the Mountains of the Moon Hotel in Fort Portal town while travelling.
Proceed to the Mweya Peninsula within the Queen Elizabeth National Park from this point on. At night, you will arrive at the park, have dinner, and spend the night at your lodge.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise
Embark on a morning game drive after a leisurely breakfast to witness the nocturnal predators and the early risers, such as lions, buffalo, antelope species, leopards, waterbucks, elephants, hippos, and warthogs. A haven for birdwatchers, Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to a wide variety of migratory and Albertine Rift Endemic species. Enjoy meals and lodging at any of these lodges.

Day 6: Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise – Kyambura Gorge Chimp Trekking
After breakfast, depart for a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel to see wildlife and observe birds. Return to the resort for lunch, and then proceed to follow chimpanzees in the Kyambura Gorge. If you have time, you can take a stroll through the Maramagambo Forest and visit the bat cave while searching for pythons that prey on these bats. Stay and eat at the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Forest via Ishasha Sector
Enjoy an early breakfast on this day before travelling across the Ishasha region in the southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you may witness the lions that are known for climbing trees. Proceed to the location of your midday meal. Enjoy an evening community walk that includes entertainment and a look into the culture of the Batwa-Pygmy people. Savour your meal and sleep at the lodge of your choosing.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters to receive a briefing on gorilla tracking before following the rangers into the lush forest. If you are lucky, you can see the magnificent Bwindi giants in around two hours or less. It is an incredibly surreal experience to see these placid animals up close. Once you’ve tracked the gorillas, return to the lodge for lunch. Spend the evening at the lodge relaxing.

Day 9: Return to Kampala – Departure
After breakfast, you will travel back to Kampala, stopping for lunch in Mbarara along the way. You will arrive in Kampala late in the afternoon, where you will have a city tour. If you don’t have a flight this evening, you will be taken straight to the airport for your departure flight back home or to your lodging.
